About Hillbilly Hams Amateur Radio Club

Hillbilly Hams Amateur Radio Club was founded in the heart of Murphy, North Carolina, with a deep-rooted love for amateur radio. We are a private hobby club with a dedicated team of enthusiasts committed to spreading the joy of global communications and fostering a sense of community among radio operators worldwide. With our expertise the amateur radio hobby overall, we can help advise on obtaining your license, give you information on ham radio equipment, and help you to engage in on-air activities. We aim to inspire and connect individuals through the exciting world of amateur radio so that you can become an active member of the ham radio community.

Founded in November 2024, Hillbilly Hams ARC wanted to provide a non-typical club atmosphere so that members could fully enjoy the ham radio experience without the business environment and red tape that most clubs encounter. If you are not enjoying or having fun with the license you worked hard to obtain then what is the point right?

Being non-typical we do not currently have regularly scheduled meetings; however, we do have meet ups to enjoy the fellowship with a meal, discussions or we schedule a meet up in a park/location for playing radio.
